Abstract: With the continuous improvement of integrated circuit design technology, it has brought about higher power consumption while bringing higher performance. How to balance high performance and low power consumption has become a key issue that needs to be solved in the current high-performance VLSI design. Standard cell replacement is such an effective way to reduce power consumption. This paper compares two different standard cell replacement strategies, and experimentally analyzes their power consumption optimization effect under different strategies and the corresponding impact on performance. A suitable standard cell replacement strategy is proposed to optimize the power consumption.
