Abstract:
The simulation of a vehicle scheduling is usually expected by bus companies, which is helpful for operators to understand the potential performance and possible problems of the schedule. By aids of the software of MapInfo and MapXtreme, a bus operation simulation system based on GIS is developed, in which an electronic map, a database and simulating processes are designed. The simulation results to the bus line 536 of Wuhan are demonstrated and analyzed at the end of this paper.
