Abstract:

Aiming at the problems in cryptography teaching such as abstract theories, non intuitive concepts, difficulty of improving classroom interaction and so on, which can easily affect the teaching effect, the paper studies the opensource teaching tools—CrypTool, regarding its origin, development, version and function. We point out that introducing CrypTool in cryptography teaching can intuitively present the methods of encryption, decryption and deciphering process of various cryptographic algorithms by visualization method, let students participate in the process of algorithm design, and is convenient to show students the application of cryptography.
