Practical exploration of systematic knowledge
integration in computer science education

Abstract:

For the contemporary computer education, with the increasing number of independent knowledge modules, the introduction of new technologies and new concepts is exploding. On the other hand, due to the increasing complexity of the knowledge network structure, students are difficult to grasp the overall view of the curriculum system, and even cannot effectively penetrate the basic knowledge. When a large amount of knowledge is understood and absorbed, there is a bad tendency that it is hard to form a closely connected knowledge network. Therefore, a curriculum design scheme that can finely organize the whole knowledge system and promote the interaction between knowledge points has become one of the top-priority tasks in our educational processes. Based on the course construction of “Introduction to Computer Systems”, this paper proposes a curriculum knowledge point connection scheme that effectively connects knowledge points, uses “Introduction to Computer Systems” as the medium to enhance the connections between independent computer related courses, and form the knowledge point connection in computer courses, so as to enhance that students can effectively absorb and integrate course knowledge points. Furthermore, based on practice, the curriculum effect and specific problems are summarized.
