Design of a System for the Serial Communication and LCD Between the Microcontroller and DSP

Abstract:

From the view of a practical engineering application, this article describes a simple and feasible implementation of serial communication between DSP and the microcontroller, and the system also expands LCD and the keyboard module as the humancomputer interaction interface, of which the hardware interface circuit is given in the article. The advantage is not only the number of pins of DSP and the microcontroller used is reduced,but also the design complexity of the interface circuit can be lowered greatly. In software programming, we use the idea of Multiprocessor communication smartly, which increases the accuracy and reliability between the double CPUs in transferring large amounts of data. This scheme is being applied to the development item of an intelligent and dynamic var Compensation Device in low voltage systems at present.
